AURA is an immersive light experience created by Moment Factory, set in the heart of Montreal's Notre-Dame Basilica. Immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of the Basilica, acting as both muse and canvas.
An experience divided into three parts by Moment Factory
AURA is a complete experience that is divided into three parts. During the evening, your first impression upon walking through the streets of the Old Port of Montreal will be the Basilica's impressive towering structure and glowing blue lights. There is no denying the astounding beauty of the imposing exterior of the Notre-Dame Basilica.
Before the show portion, we invite you to stroll through the Church's aisles and contemplate the illuminated stations, which put forth the Basilica's architectural beauty and works of art. Enjoy the experience at your own pace and reconnect with the site's rich history.
You may contemplate the illuminated pathway for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
We suggest arriving early to explore the illuminated stations before the show and enjoy the full experience. Doors open 30 minutes before the time indicated on your ticket.
You're then invited to take your place in the Basilica's pews (general admission) to witness a grandiose immersive performance. Wherever you are, the magnificence of the scenes projected onto the Basilica's walls, vault and altarpiece will leave you speechless.
The storytelling aspect is divided into three captivating chapters:
The immersive multimedia experience, without the illuminated stations, lasts 25 minutes.
Does my ticket for The AURA Experience give me access to the Basilica?
Your AURA ticket gives access to the experience only. However, it is possible to purchase a ticket combining the AURA experience with a sightseeing visit of the Basilica.
Are there assigned seats for the seated portion of the experience?
There are no assigned places; this is a general admission program. No matter where you view the show from, the experience is just as impressive. It is therefore not advisable to arrive more than twenty minutes in advance, as this offers no advantage and may instead force you to wait outside - rain or shine.
Can I take photos or videos during the show?
Photos and videos are only permitted during the first part of the experience, i.e. during the illuminated stations. Photos and videos are not permitted during the show.
If you take photos and videos of the illuminated stations, don't forget to tag the AURA and Basilica pages on your social networks. We'd love to see your captures of the experience.
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online here, or by calling 1-807-787-4557.
On-site ticketing is available during the day, during the Basilica's regular opening hours. All tickets purchased past 5 p.m. must be made online or by telephone.
Who composed the soundtrack?
The AURA Experience's soundtrack was composed by Troublemakers. Based in Montreal, Gabriel Thibaudeau and Marc Bell masterfully interwove classical and electronic elements to create a perfect weave between sight and sound. A full orchestra performance was recorded for the composition, and a piston-activated mechanical system presses the Casavant organ's keys in real-time during each performance.
Can I get a refund or an exchange?
Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. For inquiries regarding tickets purchased online, please contact Fever by email at hello@feverup.com or by phone at 1-807-787-4557.
